Jewel Training & Development Ltd offer a range of qualifications to build up your individual skills or those of your team. Training your company’s employees will help your whole business to work effectively.

Apprenticeships are government funded and are an excellent way of gaining nationally recognised qualifications and workplace experience. An Apprentice can be an existing employee as well as a new recruit, as long as the job role is applicable to the Apprenticeship undertaken. An apprentice can also be any age, however the funding grant available varies with age. As an employee, you can earn as you learn and gain practical skills from the workplace. As an employer you are getting skilled workers who are eager, flexible, motivated and loyal to the company which invested in them.
Jewel Training has been approved to deliver apprenticeship training on behalf of the funded agencies. We can currently offer apprenticeships in Team Leading and Management, Customer Service, Business and Administration, Business Improvement Techniques, Management, Warehousing and Storage Skills, Sales and Telesales, with other subjects becoming available soon.
This is an expansion of our long running NVQ training programmes to include the additional Functional Skills, Technical Certificate, Personal Learning and Thinking Skills (PLTS) and Employment Rights and Responsibilities Workbook which make up the Apprenticeship qualification.
Functional Skills are qualifications in English, Maths and ICT (Information and Communications Technology). They give learners the basic practical skills required for everyday, that focus on problem-solving and application of these skills to real situations.
Jewel can offer Functional Skills through Edexcel or City & Guilds at the following levels:
Assessment consists of paper (Entry Levels 1-3) or online (Levels 1 and 2) tests for Maths and ICT, and for the reading and writing components of the English qualification. There are also live assessments for the speaking and listening components of the English qualification.
Functional Skills are an essential element of any Apprenticeship, but can also be stand alone qualifications.
Jewel Training & Development Ltd has a well established relationship with ILM and is approved to run a number of different Team Leading, Management and Coaching & Mentoring courses, both in the UK and internationally.

National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs) are work-based qualifications, achieved through assessment and training. An NVQ assesses an employee’s ability to do the job that they are employed to do. Delegates must provide evidence that they have the ability to carry out their job to a given standard in order to gain an NVQ. They are popular with employers, as they are completed in the workplace, and are designed to reflect the latest industry trends. They therefore provide employees with the skills that are really needed. In addition, NVQs have been shown to improve staff retention, motivation and productivity.
Some of the subjects Jewel Training & Development Ltd can cover (generally from Level 2-7) are:
Jewel takes a coaching approach to all of our NVQs. We provide Workbooks for the delegates to work from, as well as a Logbook to answer appropriate questions about the work. Delegates can also attend relevant workshops and interact with other delegates from other companies – helping to develop confidence in their work.
Jewel is able to offer NVQs in a number of subjects (as above). Our team of qualified Assessors are fully accredited to Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM), Edexcel (Pearson) and City & Guilds standards.
In addition, we can offer Apprenticeships in some of the above.

Vocationally Related Qualifications (VRQs) are qualifications that relate to a specific occupational area. These are normally knowledge-based qualifications and provide learners with the theory that explains their role. VRQs can be taken by learners either already in a particular industry or by those hoping to enter that industry.
Some of the VRQ subjects Jewel Training & Development Ltd can offer are:
Jewel is fully approved to offer these VRQs from a variety of awarding bodies.
VRQs can also form part of our Apprenticeship programmes (Technical Certificate).
