ILM Professional Qualifications
Jewel Training deliver ILM professional qualifications in-house or as open courses. We've been an ILM approved centre since 1999.
Often Jewel clients ask us why we decided to become an ILM approved centre. Here's why:
- Credibility – ILM provide internationally recognised qualifications. This is important for a lot of our clients, as they have staff who might work anywhere in the world. The name “ILM” is associated with quality qualifications.
- Flexibility – at Jewel we love the flexibility of the make-up of the ILM programmes. Any qualifications from any level can be tailored to exactly what our clients see as the priorities for development and the standards they want to see in their leaders and managers. In addition, we are able to design our own Jewel ILM programmes for a client and then get them “stamped” by ILM as a Development or Endorsed programme.
- Quality – we pride ourselves at Jewel on delivering high quality, bespoke programmes and ILM allow us to do just this. The standards are high and the assessment criteria are robust and challenging enough to develop any learner to a high standard.
- Relationship & Support – one of the significant factors for staying as an ILM centre is the relationships we have built with ILM staff and the support we get from them. We have access to developments, outstanding information, advice and guidance. Plus the information is full of relevant information and resources that, not only do we use ourselves, but as soon as we register a learner, they can have access to it too!

Example ILM Programmes
ILM Level 2 Certificate in Team Leading
This Institute of Leadership and Management Level 2 Certificate in Team Leading qualification is ideal for practising team leaders, helping them become more effective and confident in their role. It also supports new and aspiring team leaders, helping them make the transition from working in a team to leading a team. This is a taught learning approach, with workshops in: Effective team work and Develop yourself as a team leader, Setting team objectives in the workplace, Planning and monitoring work and Improving performance of the team, Induction and coaching in the workplace, Meeting customer needs, Conflict and stress in the workplace, Understanding change in the workplace.
ILM Level 3 Certificate in Leadership and Management
The ILM Level 3 Certificate has been designed as a development programme for practising or aspiring first line managers. It is a dynamic, fun and motivating programme. There will be some theory, tutor led input, group discussion and lots of practical application. Course materials, such as case studies, questionnaires and activities, have been designed to develop leadership and management skills. This taught programme includes workshops in: Understanding leadership, Leading and motivating a team, Planning and allocating work, Effective meetings, Training and coaching in the workplace, and Management communication.
ILM Level 5 Certificate in Leadership and Management
This ILM Level 5 Certificate has been designed to develop the leadership and management skills of practicing or aspiring middle managers. It is a dynamic, fun and motivating programme. There will be some theory, tutor led input, group discussion and lots of practical application. Course materials, such as case studies, questionnaires and activities, have been designed to develop leadership and management skills. This taught programme includes workshops in: Becoming an effective leader, Managing stress and conflict in the workplace, Leading innovation, and Leading change.
ILM Level 5 Qualifications in Coaching and Mentoring
Jewel Training can deliver this ILM qualification as a Certificate or Diploma. They are both ideal qualifications for managers who have day-to-day responsibility for coaching and mentoring or those who are planning to move into such a role. Jewel Training has delivered them to individuals wishing to start a career as a freelance coach and mentor.
Even better than that though, the qualification helped give me the confidence to apply for a very shiny new job which I’ll be starting at the beginning of May. The interview had a 20 minute presentation component, so the feedback from that workshop was also incredibly helpful.
